Day 1: Arrival Siem Reap
Pick up at arrival to Siem Reap Reap international airport and transfer to hotel. City tour according to time of arrival. First possibility: National Museum. Covering 20,000 square meters, the museums eight galleries provide a chronological account of Khmer civilization from the pre-Angkor period (before the 9th century) to the golden age of the Angkor. Second possibility: visit the vocation school Chantiers-Ecoles. See the work of the trainees who learn the art of stone carving, wood ornamental sculpture, the making of small furniture, the art of lacquer and polychromy. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Angkor Wat - Angkor Thom (B,D)
Breakfast at hotel. Visit the breathtaking Angkor Wat temple by tuk tuk. Afternoon: Stop at the fascinating South Gate of Angkor Thom, the Bayon and its giant stone smiling faces, the Royal palace, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Dinner with Apsara Dance show. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Siem Reap - Kbal Spean - Bantey Srei (B)
Morning, drive to the Kulen Mountain range. Walk 45 minutes through the forest to the top of the hill to reach Kbal Spean, the Thousand Linga River: discover the 10th-12th century sculptures chiseled from the rocky riverbed, the Royal Bath and the waterfall. Lunch at restaurant. On the way, stop at Banteay Srei also known as "the citadel of women". Made of pink sandstone and considered a tribute to the beauty of women, this temple with its small size, delicate carvings and remarkable state of preservation is one of everyone's favorite. Banteay Srei, located about 25 kilometers north of Angkor is considered by many archeologists as the most precious jewel in Khmer art. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Siem Reap - Beng Melea - Banteay Kdei - Sras Srang (B)
Beng Mealea was built in a similar style as Angkor Wat and, although the carvings here are not so good, many tourists like to visit it because of been overgrown by trees and other vegetation. Lunch picnic. Other temple of Angkor: Thommanon was built in the late 11th century. Thommanon is only a small temple, but it is very good condition and it is well worth a visit. Then, visit Srah Srang. Srah Srang is in poor condition on an island in the Baray, but it is an alternative place to see sunrise other than Angkor Wat. Sras Srang is a great place for early morning photos. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Tonlé Sap Lake Excursion (B)
A wonderful way to experience local life that has remained unchanged for centuries, at a gentle pace. Visit the floating village and discover the centuries-old lifestyle and floating of the fishermen of the lake. Cruise on the Tonle Sap Lake to enjoy the natural splendor of the area. Continues to Pouk Village and discover how to make silk product at Silk Farm. Back hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Siem Reap - Kompong Thom (B)
Depart Siem Reap for Kampong Thom, a small town located between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh along National Road 6 (approximately 2.5 hour drive). The temples of Sambor Prei Kuk are just 28km from the city centre, tucked away deep in the jungle. Dozens of 6th and 7th century ruins fill the area, built in the pre-Angkorian Khmer Kingdom known as Chenla. Sambor Prei Kuk: This is a massive complex of over 100 ancient monuments dating to the 7th century. Continuation to Kompong Thom. Installation Sambor village. Afternoon: visit on foot or bicycle in the village: weaving, woodworking, farming. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Kompong thom - Kratie (B)
Head to Kratie province, a heavily forested province spanning the Mekong River. It was one of the first areas to fall to the Khmer Rouge; it is also the best place in the country to see the rare Irrawaddy dolphins, which live in the Mekong River. Check in hotel. After noon, visit village Sambor. Take a boat trip to to swim and see the Mekong's dolphins. Return and stop at Sambok Mountain. It is a tranquil spot on the road from Kratie Town to Kampi and Sambour. It's a place for quiet reflection, and the only vistas in Kratie. From the top you can see out across swathes of rice paddy... Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Kratie - Ratanakiri (B)
Departing Kratie, make your way to Balung, capital of Ratanakiri province. You cross Sre Pok Bridge, spot of film making Apocalypse Now and 317th Section. Transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, you'll cross the tropical forest to Kachanh Waterfalls. You can experience an elephant ride* Overnight in Banlung
Day 9: Ratanakiri (B)
As guests head northwest of the town, they'll pass through bamboo forests before reaching the village of Voen Sai. Voeun Sai is located on the left bank of Tonle San; It is a pleasant little community of Chinese, Lao and Kreung villagers. If possible, we'll rent a boat to go to the village of Ka Choan that has superb totems, if not, we will reach this village by jeep. Return to Banlung to see Yeak Lom, the sacred volcanic lake. Overnight in Banlung.
Option 2. Instead Yeak Lom Lake, you can visit a rubber plantation.
Day 10: Ratanakiri (B)
Your 4wd vehicle drives you through is a bizarre open space in the forest, covered almost entirely by stone: Veal Rum stone field, located 14 kilometers north of Banlung. This place has an exotic appeal which seldom fails to fascinate the travelers. You continue to Taveng Village, on the road to Laos. You visit some Kroeungs Villages and their traditional bachelor houses. Back to Banlung via the tropical forest and Chaong Waterfalls. Overnight in Banlung.
Day 11: Ratanakiri - Kompong Cham (B)
Today's itinerary takes you to KRATIE, near the Mekong River. Local specialities at lunch time. Then continue to Kampong Cham, visit a rubber plantation and a rubber factory. Overnight in Kampong Cham.
Day 12: Kompong Cham - Phnom Penh (B)
Departure Visit Phnom Pros and Phnom Srei famous hills. Stop at Wat Nokor temple. Lunch at restaurant local in Kompong Cham. In the afternoon, transfer by road to Phnom Penh along the banks of the Mekong. Arrival in the capital of Cambodia in late afternoon. Installation at the hotel and free time.
Day 13: Phnom Penh - Kep (B)
Breakfast at hotel then, transfer to Kep is the home of seafood and salt as well as fruits then checking in at hotel. This afternoon will be free and enjoy on the beach.
Day 14: Kep (B)
Breakfast at hotel, then will having an excursion to the Koh Tonsay Island where will enjoy by a nice and unwind beach.
Note: You can spend a night homestay in Koh Tonsay.
Day 15: Kep - Phnom Penh (B)
Breakfast at hotel, then transfer to Phnom Penh. Tour Phnom Penh, capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia: the National Museum of Arts and Wat Phnom. Afternoon: Visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda as well as Tuol Sleng museum, a former school turned concentration camp during Khmer Rouge era.
Day 16: Phnom Penh - Departure (B)
Free time until transfer to airport for your flight home.
